THCS Partnership is glad to announce its first Annual Conference, which will take place in Brussels on Thursday the 30th of November, from 9:30 to 18:00.
The event will serve as the official launch of the partnership at European level, providing a forum to discuss the key elements of health & care systems transformation from both policy and practitioners perspectives, involving a large array of stakeholders representing all sectors and all levels of governance (European, national and local/regional).
The seminar will be divided into 4 different sessions:
- 10:00 - 11:00 - Welcome and keynote speeches, with messages from the Italian Ministry of Health (Mr. Ippolito and Mr. Cicchetti); the European Commission’s Directorate General for Research and Innovation, and the THCS Coordination Team.
- 11:00 - 12:30 - First panel "Transforming health and care systems: effective tools and solutions to inform the decision-making process", with the aim of presenting the institutional point of view (national, European and international) on the real meaning of "Transformation of health and care systems". The WHO (Ms. Azzopardi), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), DG SANTE, as well as representatives from European networks and national institutions will take part in the panel discussion.
- 2.00pm - 3.30pm - Second panel “Transforming health and care systems: key ingredients for a successful implementation process”, which will discuss and identify the elements that can make the transformation happen on the field. Confirmed participants include representatives from DG CNET, national experts as well as professors and practitioners from all over europe.
- 16:00 - 17:45 - Third panel “Transforming health and care systems: launching the THCS strategy for innovation ecosystems”, which will present examples of regional ecosystems and stimulate reflection on the preconditions and elements of a successful transformation of health and care systems.
The meeting will be moderated by the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies and will be hosted at the Square Meeting Center, right in the heart of Brussels.
