THCS’ learning network for testing its Framework for transferability and implementation kicks-off

THCS WP4 has established a learning network for experts testing the THCS Framework for supporting transferability and implementation of practices.

An introductory webinar for interested participants was organised on 28 May. After the webinar, altogether 27 participants signed up for the learning network which had its first meeting on 18 June.

The main purpose of the learning network is to provide support for the testers and collect feedback from the use of the framework, but also to enable peer support and networking among the participants. The learning network meetings and testing process, coordinated by THL, run until the end of 2024.

The main questions for the testing process are:

  • Are the three stages and different tasks of the THCS framework logical, feasible and useful in supporting an implementation process?
  • What kind of tools can be used to support the various stages and tasks?
  • How can the THCS framework be clarified, improved, and implemented?

The testing is focused on four key tasks and prototypes of tools to be used in them. For the testing, there will be templates or online assessment tools the participants can test.

The first learning network meeting focused on a template for describing the original or adapted solution in a way that would support transferring the practice.

The next meeting in September will focus on the transferability assessment tool. The prototype version is made using the Scirocco platform and later the tool, as well as all the tested tools, will be embedded in the THCS Knowledge Hub.

However, before the tools can be shared in the THCS Knowledge Hub, the experiences of the testers and feedback given by experts will be taken into account, assessing the usability and feasibility of the draft versions.

In case you are interested in joining the learning network, you can still sign up by email (hanne.savolainen@thl.fi). Alternatively, you can also contribute to improving the THCS Framework by filling an online survey by 31 July 2024: https://link.webropolsurveys.com/S/E63A870179758881
