On 25-26 May, 2023, FFG hosted the first Workshop of THCS’s WP9 in Vienna. The workshop was designed to inform the strategy development for WP9 - Strengthening Ecosystems. Participants included 19 persons on site and 14 persons who attended online.

The mission of WP 9 is based on the understanding that the transformation of health and care systems is dependent on numerous actors collaborating and aligning in different dimensions, i.e. ecosystems need to be in place.

WP9 will be acting as a platform for exchange, learning and inspiration. The Work Package aims at better understanding the mechanisms underlying transformation processes and allowing for peer learning and exchange among ecosystems. In doing so, WP 9 will specifically focus on transformative ecosystems, defined as “a broad constellation of interacting organizations and people who are committed, and through aligned actions, able to reach joint, explicitly defined goals.”

On a different line of activities, WP9 will support projects in embracing ecosystem-wide approaches to support implementation and scale up of innovation. WP9 will also engage in reaching out to, connecting and involving relevant actors, including national/regional/local stakeholders.
